Cheshire County Sports Club: Tuesday Fartlek
Cheshire County Sports Club, also known historically as the ‘County Officers’ Club’, is located in Plas Newton Lane, Upton-by-Chester CH2 1PR, near to the traffic light junction with the A41.
We meet on Tuesdays in the foyer or corridor to the changing rooms near to the noticeboards, departing for a run at 6:30 pm. Changing and showering facilities are available at the club, free of charge.
Training runs are approximately 90 minutes (between 9 and 11 miles) of fartlek - steady running at around eight minutes per mile, interspersed with six faster efforts over varying distances, to suit the varying abilities of all of the runners in the group.
There are two seasonal series of sessions: summer, making use of the local country
lanes and footpaths; and winter, when the session is restricted to the lit streets and byways of
Chester. Particular sessions during spring and autumn will depend on available light. Click on the links below for dates for each route.
